We take great pride in the fact that each candle we stock here at The Vignette Room has been personally tested and chosen to ensure it covers all the factors you could want from a scented candle for your home.

Each candle has a unique offering, whether it be a strong fragrance, it's chic vessel, the practical and affordable 'refillable' insert option or a combination of the above.

We have compiled some care tips below to ensure you get the most out of your favourite candle.

First Burn

The first time you burn your candle, allow it to burn for 3-4 hours or until the surface has melted away to the sides. Let it reset completely before your next burn. Soy wax has a burn memory, so follow these burn patterns each time and this will help your candle burn more evenly and avoid tunnelling.

Wick Care

Each time you burn your candle, trim off the mushroom and trim to approximately 5mm to ensure an even and smoke-free burn. To assist in even burning ensure your wick is centred. If your wick becomes uncentered, gently reposition the wick whilst the wax is still molten.

Scent Care

To maximise the scent throw of your candle burn in desired space for 30 mins before entering and close windows to prevent drafts. To clean dust or smoke marks on top of the vessel, gently rub the surface with a soft cloth either dry or dampened with water.

Safety

Always extinguish your candle with a snuffer, or dip wick into melted wax and then straighten wick to prevent smoking and splattering. Never leave a burning candle unattended or move a burning candle. To prevent overheating of the vessel, never burn all the way to the end.

If you stick your candle in the freezer two hours before burning this doubles its burn life. X
